With over eighty years of experience founded in 1927, Le Chameau has always concentrated on producing premium handmade quality, natural rubber boots at their factory in northern France. Thus steeped in tradition and yet at the forefront of technology always pushing through to maximum potential. With nine months of intense training to become the highly qualified Le Chameau boot-maker. To acquire the unique skills that have been passed down through generations of the master class, from master to apprentice. The wearer of any of the footwear will always have the assurance that the boot will be hand made with the same care, attention and craftsmanship that was first produced over eighty years ago when the business was first introduced. You will always have the boot made by the master and will always be in perfect condition for many years to come.
Le Chameau is uniquely traditional and it takes 9 months of intense training to become Chameau boot-maker. In this time each maker acquires the unique skill which has been passed down through the generations, from master to apprentice, so that the wearer of any Le Chameau product has the assurance of hand made quality and that each has the same care and craftsmanship, similar to what was given 80 years ago.

Crafted with the country user always in mind, not only is Le Chameau clothing incredibly hardwearing, but also highly stylish and always at maximum comfortability. With both the stylish and comfortable factor taken into consideration the clothing providing the optimum in terms of protection from the cold and wet of the winter months.
Le Chameau clothing will always be easy to care for. Our garments are designed to be machine washable at 40 degrees but it is always advisable to read the label. We also advise of using biological powder, because it delays the eventual need for re-proofing if needed. Avoid using fabric conditioners when washing all of the fleece products.
